David Woodke & Michael Gibbons founded Woodke & Gibbons P.C. L.L.O. with the goal of providing its clients the best legal representation possible. Although Mr. Woodke and Mr. Gibbons have experience handling medical malpractice claims, it became apparent to them that medical care providers needed a law firm with a division dedicated to the defense of such claims, a division staffed with lawyers and paralegals specializing in the area of medical malpractice defense. It was from this realization, and in keeping with the firm's goal, that the medical malpractice division of Woodke & Gibbons was born.

Medical malpractice is a highly complex field of civil law. From a defense standpoint, an attorney representing a health care provider or a hospital sued for medical malpractice must possess not only a broad base of legal knowledge and judgment, but also exceptional trial skills and a familiarity with the medical sciences. The medical malpractice division of Woodke and Gibbons is led by Earl G. "Chip" Greene, III. Licensed to practice law in both Nebraska and Iowa, Mr. Greene possesses over 27 years of experience in the field of insurance defense law. Since 1996, Mr. Greene's practice has focused on the defense of physicians, nurses, physicians assistants and hospitals sued for malpractice.

At Woodke & Gibbons, he continues his medical malpractice defense practice while also representing physicians and nurses on licensure issues before the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Mr. Greene frequently lectures to medical students, physician assistant students, and physicians at both the Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.

At Woodke and Gibbons, Mr. Greene receives valuable aide from Amy Stanoshek, R.N., J.D. With her 11 years of clinical and hospital experience as a registered nurse, coupled with her legal experience and law degree, Ms. Stanoshek brings practical medical insights and knowledge to assist with the legal evaluation of a medical malpractice claim or lawsuit.

Both Mr. Greene and Ms. Stanoshek are ably assisted by Jody Bowman. Ms. Bowman has a degree in paralegal studies, and brings more than 12 years of legal experience to the team. She has worked on multiple medical malpractice cases. Her extensive experience in handling and summarizing medical files, records, and reports, along with aiding in discovery responses, allows her to bring clarity to complex medical malpractice files, assisting the litigators in preparing the case for trial.
